Mission

To bring people to Christ, teach them to grow, find their place of service in the body, love one another and love God through the Spirit empowered worship.

To bring people to Christ

Believers have a mission to preach the gospel to the world according to the command of Jesus in Luke 24: 47, Mark 16: 15-16 and Romans 10: 14-17.

Teach them to grow

The role of the church is to make followers of Christ out of everyone who confesses Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. The church should pass on Jesus’ teachings to all who believe (Matthew 28: 19). The church has a responsibility to present everyone mature in Christ (Colossians 1: 28, Ephesians 4: 13, Colossians 4:12, James 1: 4).

Find their place of service in the body

Jesus Christ has given each one a gift with which to serve in his body (Ephesians 4: 7-11, 1 Corinthians 12: 7). Believers are compared to the human body which has many parts, but functioning for the common good of all. There is no one who could say they have nothing to contribute in church (1 Corinthians 12: 12-27).

To love one another

Jesus commanded us to love one another in John 13: 35. The church is God’s household. This gives it an intimate family nature (Ephesians 2: 9). Furthermore, believers have common citizenship in heaven (Philippians 2: 20).

Love God through the spirit of empowered woriship

The church is a royal priesthood called to worship God, who has given the Holy Spirit to the church to empower believers not only to witness, but also to worship Him in truth and spirit (John 4: 21-24). Believers are commanded to be filled with the Holy Spirit so that they may offer holy worship to God (Ephesians 5: 18-20).
